Symmetrical Load Tester
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
A Symmetrical Load Tester is an important device used to test that repaired 3 phase trailing cables are operating electrically symmetrical. Australian Standards require all mining cables pass this test before returning to service.
SPECIFICATIONS
20 KVA - 3 Phase transformer
415 Volt Primary to 31 Volt Secondary @ a maximum load of 385 Amps output
Variac 3 Phase - Maximum load 28Amps
Diris A-30 Power Meter - Which reads the three individual phase currents.
3 x Current Transformers (ratio 500/5)
1 x Milliamp Meter - Which read the milliamp leakage injected into the earth conductors.
Timers designed for 30 seconds (30 sec on) operation time and 2 minutes cool down time (2min off).
Emergency Stop Button - Run Button - Power on keyed Button - 3 x 5 metres of test leads - 120mm² single core cable
10 metres of main lead - 20Amp 4 pin plug
Unit comes in a powder coated 1.5mm Galvabond (IP21) steel enclosure
Wheels: fixed and swivel (with break) wheels
Custom connecting pins to suit cables under test (to be advised by customer)
